Jim Hunsaker

Hello Biff Brothers, It is with great sadness and sorrow we need to announce the passing of a long time Biff Brother Jim Hunsaker. Jim passed away Monday April 25th at the age of 69.  Jim was a major part of the Mission for 28 years with his first Mission being in 1993. Jim is survived by his wife Debbie, son Colby and fellow Biff Brother Kyle. Jim’s first son, Biff Brother Jason Hunsaker passed 1994. I personally had a special relationship with Jim being Jason’s stepfather, we were all family. I had the upmost respect for Jim for always doing the right thing for others.

Jim will be greatly missed by many but none more than his life long best friends Biff Brothers Art Stapleton and Steve Pirtle. A special thanks to David Colbert and his family for being a great friend to Jim and being there for Debbie. Jim was a special Biff Brother and was always willing to help with the Mission. As Steve Kovach said “This is why Jim earned the nickname “4”. He used to say that he didn’t want to be Biff 1, 2, 3 or 4 because they work too hard! Jim, the “Biff 4" number is officially retired because no one can meet those expectations. Jim was close to many of us and will never be forgotten for his kind heart and willingness to help others in need.

This Friday night April 30th at 5 PM at Scotts Flat Lake, we will be doing a toast to Jim. Please come for the tribute to Jim if you can! We all need to be together to support one another an to show the love we had for Jim! Next year we will be dedicating a plaque on the bench in Jim’s honor.

The picture of Jim, Art, Kyle and Biff was taken on our annual remembering Jason’s Birthday fishing trip we do every year in March. We have done this trip since 1995. What great memories I hold close to my heart. We will continue this yearly tradition but now in memory of both Jim and Jason!

May the lord give us all peace and help us all to deal with this tragic loss. Please RIP my dear friend, say hello to Jason and the rest of brothers for us
