Back to Never Forgoten Biff Brothers

Lou Chaney

The ROCK

Lou “The Rock” Chaney passed away in July of 2006 at the age of 76.

Lou was a 10 year Biff Brother and was loved by all. He was the cornerstone of the Chaney family.

He really enjoyed the times at the Mission especially with his sons Spencer and Ryan.

Later he got to take his Grandson Mason under his wing, completing 3 generations at the Mission. How cool was that!

The Chaney family had an unmatched fierce competitiveness for horseshoe’s. Lou was the leader, showing how to be cool under pressure earning him the nickname “The Rock”.

He was one of the tougher Biffsters as well, hanging in through many rainy cold days and not so quiet nights.

Lou worked for the state of California and later as a property appraiser.

A few of us were able to see the Rock in his final days. In true Biff Brother fashion, he asked for a beer to toast with us one last time and was wearing a Mission T-shirt.

Thank you for that Lou, I will never forget that moment, or you!

Cheers to you my friend!
